English Teacher

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a secondary school, with flexibility for either full-time or part-time hours. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about English and dedicated to helping students develop their knowledge, confidence and academic potential. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons across relevant key stages, ensuring students make good progress and achieve their potential. Plan and prepare effective lessons, setting meaningful homework to reinforce learning. Provide constructive feedback and clear guidance to help students improve their work. Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment where students can learn effectively. Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs, working closely with teaching assistants and support staff. Contribute to curriculum planning, schemes of work and departmental resources. Monitor student progress and prepare reports for parents, carers and school leaders. Support students'' pastoral development and promote high standards of behaviour. Participate in departmental meetings, parents'' evenings, school events and extracurricular activities. Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute positively to the wider school community. Promote an inclusive learning environment built on mutual respect, fairness and high expectations.
