English Teacher

An inspiring and dedicated English Teacher is required for a permanent part-time position at a well-regarded Independent school in Brent, commencing in September. The successful candidate will cultivate a love for literature and language in students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16).

Responsibilities

• They will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a diverse range of literary texts and language concepts.
• The role involves effectively teaching English Language and Literature, adhering to the school's curriculum.
• They will cultivate a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment for English.
• Assessment and monitoring of student progress in English, along with providing feedback, will be required.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in English Language and Literature is essential.
• Experience teaching English lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is desirable.
• A solid understanding of English literature and language is expected.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills are necessary.
