The Opportunity We're seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join a thriving Humanities and English department at a well-regarded school in Richmond upon Thames. The Role You will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and potentially Key Stage 5 (A-Level). Your role involves planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to diverse learning needs, rigorously assessing student progress, and contributing to the development of dynamic schemes of work. You'll also be encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities such as debate clubs, creative writing workshops, or literary societies, enriching the student experience beyond the classroom.

The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and creative English specialist with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes in English. You'll possess outstanding subject knowledge, exceptional classroom management skills, and a genuine commitment to continuous professional development. Experience teaching A-Level English is desirable but isn't essential for an outstanding newly qualified teacher who demonstrates exceptional potential and passion.
