An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational Lead Practitioner of English to join a dynamic secondary school in Hammersmith. The Role

The Lead Practitioner of English will:

• Model outstanding teaching and learning in English, supporting colleagues to develop their practice.
• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of an ambitious English curriculum across all key stages.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers, including ECTs, to enhance pedagogical approaches and literacy strategies.
• Utilise data effectively to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted interventions.
• Contribute to whole-school teaching and learning initiatives, promoting literacy and academic writing.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an outstanding English Teacher (QTS/QTLS) who:

• Possesses a proven track record of excellent teaching and securing strong student outcomes in English.
• Has significant experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity within an English department.
• Is passionate about innovation in English education and current pedagogical research.
• Demonstrates outstanding communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
