English Teacher – Full-time, long-term cover from June 2026 to July 2026

Leadership is effective in supporting staff and ensuring pupils’ personal development and academic progress are well supported.This is a full-time, long-term English Teacher role from June 2026 until July 2026, with no planning or marking responsibilities.Duties as English Teacher:

• Deliver engaging English lessons using pre-prepared resources
• Teach English language and literature across relevant key stages
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
• Support pupils’ engagement and progress during lessons
• Follow existing schemes of work without planning responsibilities
• Provide verbal feedback to pupils during lessons
• Work collaboratively with department staff and support teams

Ideal English Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching English at secondary level
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to deliver lessons effectively without planning or marking duties
• Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
