The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 KS4 (and KS5 if required), inspiring students to develop strong literacy, analytical, and communication skills.The role involves planning engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to a supportive and collaborative English department.Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 KS4 (and KS5 if required). Develop students reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills. Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback. Promote high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and wellbeing in the classroom. Support extracurricular activities, such as debating, literature clubs, and school publications. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and school initiatives. Person Specification Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Strong subject knowledge in English. Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities. Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
