A college based in County Durham are currently looking for a passionate and committed English Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across GCSE and Functional Skills programmes (up to Level 2). This is an excellent opportunity to help learners build the essential language skills they need to succeed in further study, employment, and everyday life.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging lessons, supported by well-prepared learning materialsDevelop and review course content and assessmentsMonitor and track learner attendance, progress, and achievementContribute to course reviews, moderation, and continuous quality improvementProvide guidance and support to learnersTake part in team meetings, CPD, and college eventsPromote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion in all areas of teachingWhat They are Looking ForEssential RequirementsA recognised teaching qualificationGCSEs (or equivalent) in English and MathsA Level 3 qualification and a degree in a relevant subjectExperience teaching English across a range of levelsExperience supporting diverse learners aged 14-19+, including those with SENDStrong understanding of the Ofsted framework for Further EducationFamiliarity with Eduqas GCSE and Pearson Functional Skills specificationsAbility to motivate and inspire learners to achieve meaningful progressConfidence using educational systems and analysing learner dataExcellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skillsA strong commitment to safeguarding and ..... full job details .....
