Job Title: Engineering Technician12 month contractInside IR35Minimum 3 days a week onsiteJob DescriptionWe are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team, supporting engineering Randamp;D projects with a wide range of development testing activities. This role involves close collaboration with small technical teams and the creation and modification of technical documentation and reports.ResponsibilitiesSupport in-house engineering Randamp;D teams with various tasks including laboratory and development testing.Design, set up, and operate mechanical and electronic testing apparatus and procedures.Collect and process data using Excel and Python.Report test results to the team and proactively devise new tests based on obtained results.Utilise basic 3D CAD skills to support the design and build of test equipment.Engage in workshop and 3D printing tasks.Provide continuous and effective technical communication to all team members through digital communications, reports, and day-to-day conversations.Essential SkillsEngineering verification and validation.Understanding of apparatus such as oscilloscopes and data loggers.Workshop skills including the use of basic power tools and hand tools.Working in small, fast-moving engineering teams.Proficiency in data collection and analysis.Skilled in using Excel.Additional Skills andamp; QualificationsBasic 3D CAD skills.Familiarity with Python for data processing is desirable.
