Engineering Technician Location: Rotherham Salary: £25,456 per annum Contract: Permanent Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week About the Role Our Client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Engineering Technician to support the delivery of high-quality engineering and fabrication training within a busy educational environment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in Fabrication and Welding who is passionate about sharing their knowledge and helping learners develop practical industry skills. Working within modern workshop facilities, you will support both staff and students, ensuring practical sessions run smoothly, safely, and effectively. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of workshop facilities, processes, and resources while helping to create an engaging learning environment for future engineers and welders. Key Responsibilities Prepare workshops, equipment, and materials for practical lessons, assessments, and demonstrations. Support students and teaching staff during practical Fabrication and Welding sessions. Ensure workshop equipment and machinery are maintained, safe, and ready for use. Distribute and control tools, materials, and consumables. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering replacement equipment and materials. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and organisation throughout the workshop. Carry out routine maintenance checks and report faults when required. ..... full job details .....
