Engineering Technician

Join our dynamic Automotive, Construction, Engineering and Logistics (ACEL) department as an Engineering Technician, where you''ll play a vital support role in delivering high-quality practical learning experiences. This is not a teaching post, but you''ll work closely with academic staff-preparing equipment, assisting in workshops, and ensuring a safe, well-maintained technical environment. We''re looking for someone with a solid engineering background, hands-on technical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw campus to join our Automotive, Construction, Engineering and Logistics Department as an Engineering Technician on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Level 2 English & Mathematics.
• Industry relevant qualification as applicable by specialist function.
• First Aid qualification (or be prepared to work towards within first year).
• Specific relevant industry experience.
• Specific relevant specialist skill.
• Ability to work as a team or individually.
• Working to deadlines.
