Engineering Team Leader

A large food manufacturer are seeking a hands on Engineering Team Leader, where you''ll lead a skilled team, driving operational excellence and supporting Engineers on routine and reactive maintenance. Your will be an experienced qualified Engineer with a background of leading a Engineering team, confident in mechanical or electrical maintenance within a fast paced manufacturing environment. Salary £45,000 to £55,000 plus Benefits Monday to Friday - Days What You Will Do:- Support the Engineering Manager and take full managerial responsibility during their absence.- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers and apprentices to achieve their full potential.- Develop and maintain an effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system to ensure operational efficiency.- Respond swiftly to breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimise downtime.- Ensure all engineering activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.- Participate in mechanical and electrical projects, including machine installations, panel upgrades, and effluent plant operations. What You Will Bring:- An Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering and at least 4 years of engineering experience.- Proven skills in electrical systems, welding/fabrication, and mechanical fitting.- Supervisory or team leadership experience with the ability to mentor engineers and apprentices.- Strong fault-finding skills and familiarity with process machinery.- Initiative, excellent ..... full job details .....
