Engineering Team Leader

We''re working with a well-established FMCG manufacturer in Leicestershire to find an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join their team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you''ll take ownership of the engineering function on shift, helping to keep operations running smoothly while driving improvements through proactive maintenance and smart ways of working.

Salary: -56,000
Shift: Panama Days 6am-6pm
Location: Leicestershire

What you''ll be doing:

• You''ll lead day-to-day engineering activity on shift, making sure equipment is running reliably and downtime is kept to a minimum.
• From planned maintenance through to fault finding and quick fixes, you''ll play a key role in keeping production on track.
• You''ll work closely with production teams, keep on top of parts and stock, and oversee contractors when needed.
• There''s also a strong focus on continuous improvement, so you''ll be encouraged to bring ideas and make a real impact.

What we''re looking for:

• You''ll have a solid background in both electrical and mechanical engineering, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading or supervising a team is important, whether that''s as a Team Leader, Lead Engineer, or similar.
• A recognised qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is expected, along with the ability to work independently, stay organised under pressure, and maintain high standards around safety and hygiene.
• Strong communication and a proactive mindset will really set you apart.
