Engineering SupervisorNewly created role to support the operations manager in this established aerospace precision engineering company. You will help ensure engineering, manufacturing planning and technical activities are delivered efficiently and accurately, meeting customer requirements, company procedures, quality standards, regulatory requirements and Health and Safety expectations.Key responsibilitiesLead, supervise and coordinate the Engineering department, allocating and prioritising work.Provide day-to-day technical leadership and support to Engineering, Production Supervisors and Operators.Interpret customer drawings, CAD models, specifications and standards, and translate them into effective manufacturing methods.Develop and maintain methods of manufacture, planning sheets, routings, manufacturing instructions and job packs.Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings for parts, details and assemblies.Identify tooling, equipment, material and process requirements and ensure these are communicated and actioned.Support Production throughout manufacture by investigating and resolving technical issues and updating instructions where improvements are identified.Act as the primary technical link between Customers, Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, Commercial and CAD.Support New Product Introduction (NPI), contract reviews and continuous improvement activity.Manufacturing planning and ERPCreate jobs in MRP/ERP system from customer purchase ..... full job details .....
