Job Description 
 
Hunters 4 Staff is seeking a dedicated and flexible Engineering Operative to join a well-established, family-run machining and fabrication business. This role is essential in supporting our production processes and requires the ability to move between different departments as needed, including Stores, Material Handling, and Drills.
Key Responsibilities:

• Stores: Ensure all materials/products are received correctly, verify against paperwork, check quality, and manage stock in the warehouse. Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
• Material Handling: Efficiently unload and store raw materials, prepare products for the next process, conduct stock takes, and maintain equipment.
• Drills: Operate drills, countersink, and use tap arms. Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Administration: Prepare and update documentation within the despatch department.
• Health and Safety: Carry out duties safely and responsibly, adhering to current Health and Safety Regulations.
• Communication: Maintain high levels of communication with colleagues and keep the Manager informed of potential issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years'' experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Ability to read and understand numbers and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of working with metal products and understanding of production processes.
• Flexible approach to work and ability to carry out various tasks as needed.
• Ability to work on own initiative.

Desirable:

• Professional manner when liaising with customers.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications.
• Clean driving license.
