      <description>Location: Workington | Salary: &amp;pound;75000 - &amp;pound;79000/annum Car Allowance and Other Benefits | Type: Permanent | Engineering Manager     Location:  Workington   Contract Duration:  Permanent   Working Pattern:  Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week   Working Arrangement:  Full-time, onsite      Role Overview Lead engineering across projects, supporting both work-winning and delivery teams:    Manage the engineering function and assess team competence.    Support feasibility studies, option selection, and risk reduction.    Embed HSEQ in all design stages and decisions.    Deliver projects to scope, budget, and company objectives.    Promote innovation, value engineering, and alternative designs.    Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent.       Key Responsibilities    Ensure teams follow established processes and procedures.    Lead assurance for design, construction, commissioning, and handover.    Act as CDM Principal Designer.    Advise sector leaders, clients, and support bids/submissions.    Line manage design managers and manage staff rotation for development.
