Engineering Manager-Product Configuration Glasgow/Filton/Portsmouth(hybrid 1-2 days p/w) Competitive Salary +BonusMy client a multi-national Aerospace and Defence organisation are looking for a Engineering Manager to join either their Glasgow, Filton(Bristol) or Portsmouth sites working on a hybrid basis. They will also consider candidates from other locations.Role description:In this role, you will lead in analysing local business Product Configuration processes to tailor functional driven guidance, Information Management Technology solutions (in the form of requirement specifications) and training that ensure the overall configuration of product information is maintained. This includes involvement in Planning and Management, Identification and Breakdown, Change Control, Status Accounting, Verification and Audit and preparation of Engineering Baselines.Core Duties: You will be responsible for the effective implementation of Configuration Management plans and policies. You will develop and implement appropriate tools, processes and practices as articulated in the River Class Destroyer Programme (RCD) Product Configuration Management Plan You will develop the respective Configuration baselines in alignment with the design review strategy and sharing these baselines with the wider RCD project You will lead the configuration team through business change with clarity, encouraging continuous improvement.
