Engineering Manager

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to take ownership of the industrial engineering function and work closely with Production, Quality and the wider business to improve how the operation performs. The operation is growing. Capacity needs improving. Processes need tightening and there is plenty of opportunity to do things better. This is where this role comes in.Engineering ManagerSalary - Up to 70,000Location - DorsetThe roleLead and develop the engineering team.Improve productivity, efficiency, quality and capacity across the operation.Use production and performance data to identify problems and opportunities.Improve manufacturing processes, layouts, workflows and working practices.Support production planning and capacity requirements.Lead the engineering side of new product introduction and production readiness.Work with Production and Quality to improve manufacturability and resolve ongoing issues.Identify opportunities for new equipment, automation and capital investment.Manage engineering and continuous improvement projects through to completion.Improve engineering documentation, standard work and operating procedures.Make sure engineering activity meets health, safety and regulatory requirements.Build a team that is focused on solving problems and improving the operation rather than constantly firefighting.What we''re looking forYou will have experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environmentExperience within a similar role, such as ..... full job details .....
