The team offers a seamless way to track every aspect of health and fitness, from activity and sleep, to stress and nutrition. Using Google''s AI and health science, apps, services, and wearables help users organize their data, gain clear insights, and act on their personalized health goals.
Responsibilities
Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization''s goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams. Lead multiple technical projects to deliver high quality and usable products for our customers across domains.
Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role, and align to the broader organization''s goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback.
Develop the technical direction and roadmap within the scope of the teams. Evolve the roadmap to meet future requirements and infrastructure needs.
Design, guide and vet systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and write product or system development code to solve problems. Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback.
Comply with all company health and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Python, C, C++).
5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing large projects.
Advanced: Experience owning outcomes and decision making, solving ambiguous problems and influencing stakeholders; deep expertise in domain.
Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience developing in Java or Kotlin.
Experience with Android, iOS, Web, or Server development.
Experience working in a structured organization.
Ability to navigate open-ended technical issues, and make proper trade-offs.
