Engineering Manager

About the RoleThis role plays a key part in ensuring engineering challenges are identified and resolved early, before they become issues on site. You will lead engineering input across projects, support delivery teams, and ensure designs are safe, practical, and aligned with quality and commercial requirements.You will be expected to use sound professional judgement and, where necessary, challenge decisions to protect project outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support project engineering teams, ensuring they are properly resourced, motivated, and developed.Review proposals from tender and site teams, understanding technical and commercial impacts of design changes.Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining safety and quality.Ensure temporary works designs are checked in line with company procedures, both in-house and externally.Provide technical leadership on temporary and permanent works issues.Procure and manage external design consultants.Control engineering time, cost, and programme impacts.Working RelationshipsEngineering leadership and technical teamsProject and site teamsCommercial teamsClient and contractor engineersWhat Success Looks LikeHigh-quality technical input supporting project delivery.Clear communication with site teams, reducing rework and non-conformances.Practical and timely solutions to complex engineering problems.Strong professional relationships with clients and contractors.Engineering activities are delivered efficiently and ..... full job details .....
