Engineering Fitter

Our client, an established aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) organisation, is seeking an Engineering Fitter to join its Inverness-based engineering team. The role will support line and base aircraft maintenance activities, working alongside Certifying Engineers to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations.

• Support line and base aircraft maintenance activities at the Inverness base, other operating bases and occasional off-site locations
• Assist Certifying Engineers with aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with approved data, current regulations and company authorisations
• Identify, document and accurately record aircraft defects following discussions with operational crew members
• Complete assigned engineering tasks safely, efficiently and in line with company policies and procedures
• Use, care for and maintain tooling, equipment and facilities to the required standard
• Carry out aircraft handling, refuelling, role changes and cleaning activities as required
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Provide general engineering and operational support to the wider business

• Experience in aircraft maintenance, aerospace engineering or a closely related engineering environment
• Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures, approved technical data and relevant aviation regulations
• Ability to interpret and complete maintenance documentation accurately
• Knowledge of aircraft handling, ground support activities and engineering tooling
• Strong commitment to health and safety, quality standards and regulatory compliance
• Good practical, fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with Certifying Engineers and wider operational teams
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends, additional hours and at temporary or off-site bases, including overnight stays where required

• Permanent position based in Inverness
• Monday to Friday working pattern, with hours subject to operational requirements
