Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Bridgwater for an Engineering Machine Operative to join their busy extrusion department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous warehouse or manufacturing experience who''s eager to step into a technical role - full training is provided!

Key Duties

Operate various production machines including large press machines.

Perform visual and dimensional quality checks on finished parts.

Moulding operations: set up moulds, run presses, and trim excess material.

Mix and cast silicone products.

Operate trimming, laser marking, and assembly machinery.

Label and prepare goods for dispatch.

Maintain accurate production records and paperwork.

Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures.

Support other departments when required, working towards lean manufacturing standards.

Requirements

Previous warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience (essential).

Machine operation or rubber manufacturing experience (desirable).

Good attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.

Comfortable working with small components while wearing gloves.

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt across departments.

Understanding of health and safety in a factory environment.

What We Offer

£27,000 per annum.

Two annual loyalty bonuses (up to 4%).

Early finish every Friday (1pm).

33 days holiday (including bank holidays).

Christmas shutdown.

Permanent, full-time role.
