You will be supported and funded by this employer to study for a degree on a day release basis.

This role is to join an engineering consultancy operating in the construction industry. This apprentice / trainee role will be responsible for assisting engineers in order that you gain experience and detailed working knowledge of all parts of the construction industry; you will become a-design engineer.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Engineers with detailed design tasks, equipment selection and drawing production.
• Learn about components to system designs and the different types of systems that exist in buildings.-
• Learn how to carry out detailed design calculations and how to use computer design packages.
• Learn and understand construction techniques.
• To gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainable design.

Experience & Qualifications

• You will need to be technically minded
• A levels including a technical / science-/ maths based subject-or a technical-or engineering / technical based BTEC
• An enthusiasm to learn and build a career as a design engineer
