Electrical competency and any appropriate qualifications will also be advantageous.

My client is a growing UK business who have just built a new site near Rotherham. They are looking to bring an innovative product to an expanding market and are seeking an Engineering & Maintenance Lead to help strengthen their team. This appointment will be pivotal in developing and executing the maintenance strategy, and so a ''can-do'' attitude, the ability to think outside the box, and not being afraid to roll your sleeves up are all key characteristics that will play an important part in this role.

Description

• To develop and implement a proactive maintenance strategy (including both PPMs and reactive maintenance)
• Setting up the systems, schedules and documentation from scratch for a new facility
• Ensure all machinery is maintained to the highest possible standards
• Lead on fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs across electrical and mechanical systems
• Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment/machinery
• Manage the spare parts inventory and stock-holding in line with business requirements
• Collaborate with the production team to improve equipment reliability and performance
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

Profile

The successful Engineering & Maintenance Lead will have:

• A background in multi-skilled maintenance with a good understanding of electrical (17th/18th edition or equivalent) and mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems
• Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment
• Prior experience with PPMs and implementing these for new processes
• A solution-orientated mindset and the ability to work autonomously
• Hands-on approach whilst also being able to direct the wider maintenance strategy
• Any experience with setting up a maintenance function in a new site build, factory relocation or process improvement would be advantageous
