Engineer

As-our-Engineer,-you-will:

• Provide-fast-and-efficient-installation,-diagnostics,-repairs-and-preventive-maintenance-to-all-the-machinery,-plant-and-equipment-within-the-factory,-keeping-the-Senior-Works-Engineer-fully-informed-and-up-to-date;
• Carry-out-basic-electrical-fault-diagnosis-and-repairs;
• Work-with-the-Senior-Works-Engineer-to-facilitate-large-or-major-repairs-to-plant-and-equipment;
• Assist-in-the-development-and-implementation-of-a-planned-maintenance-programme-in-consultation-with-the-Senior-Works-Engineer;
• Demonstrate-the-effectiveness-of-planned-maintenance-through-reducing-numbers-of-breakdowns-and-problem-free-equipment-installations;
• Purchase-sundries,-machine-parts-and-services,-in-liaison-with-the-Senior-Works-Engineer,-with-due-regard-for-stock-levels-and-overall-budget;
• Arrange,-assist-and-direct-external-contractors-for-specialist-work-or-installations-in-consultation-with-the-Senior-Works-Engineer-and-Operations-Director;
• Participate-in-the-technical-aspects-of-capital-investment-decisions;
• Advise-senior-management-on-Health-and-Safety-issues-or-concerns.

If-you-have-the-following-skills-and-attributes,-then-we-want-to-hear-from-you.

• Recent,-relevant-and-proven-experience-as-a-maintenance-engineer-or-similar-role.
• Higher-level-qualification-in-engineering-or-manufacturing.
• Solid-understanding-of-pneumatics,-hydraulics,-and-mechanics.
• Familiarity-using-various-power-and-hand-tools.
• Ability-to-stand-for-long-hours-and-lift-heavy-loads.
• Problem-solving-and-organisational-skills-a-self-starter-who-is-well-organised,-positive,-flexible-and-highly-motivated-to-get-the-job-done-efficiently-and-safely-using-own-initiative,-and-as-part-of-a-team,-with-a-flexible-approach-to-working-hours-and-ability-to-work-some-overtime.
• Confident-in-communicating-verbally-and-in-writing-in-English.
