Engineer

Job Introduction:A UK based residential housebuilder are looking for an Engineer to help support the Technical and Operating teams in Yorkshire.The aim is for the successful candidate to support the regional/group business plan, commercial objectives, budgets and future growth requirements, whilst mentoring junior members of the team.This role is ideal for people who are passionate about progressing their technical career within a national, growing homebuilder. As an Engineer, you will:Provide technical/engineering support to the land/development team to assist during feasibility studies and lead in the preparation of site viability reports in line with current regulatory requirements for residential development.Identify the need for external consultants, agree fees, the scope of service capability, timescales and deliverability.Manage relationships with consultants to ensure the flow of information is within the agreed timescales and in accordance with, and on schedule with the programme and in line with the National Housebuilding council standards.Be aware of and act upon commercial implications relating to planning and architectural design; civil and structural engineering design; geotechnical and ground remediation strategies; statutory services - new supplies and diversions.
