Engineer (Electrical)

Rising Talent is delighted to be working exclusively with Nairn s Oatcakes as they look to add an Engineer with an electrical bias to their engineering team. Based at their site in Bonnyrigg this is a hands-on role focused on keeping plant and equipment running safely, reliably and efficiently, with a good mix of planned and reactive maintenance. You ll be involved in: Planned preventative maintenance Reactive maintenance and fault finding Equipment repairs and reliability Installation and commissioning of equipment Identifying recurring faults and putting longer-term fixes in place Supporting continuous improvement and reducing downtime Managing engineering spares and maintenance records Working closely with Production and Technical teams Ensuring engineering work meets HandS, GMP, hygiene and food safety standards What we''re looking for: Engineering apprenticeship is essential HNC/HND would be desirable Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG would be advantageous Experience with PPM systems Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Someone practical, organised and comfortable working independently If you''re an Engineer looking for your next move within food manufacturing, or know someone who might be a good fit, drop me a message.
