Engineer

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Stevenage? You will be electrically bias and have experience of working within a food / FMCG environment. As a Maintenance Engineer you will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Offering a salary of -51,750 working a 4 on 4 off days & night shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on production equipment
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise disruption to production
• Repair and maintain the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic elements of the plant
• Fault-find and resolve recurring machinery issues
• Support the development and improvement of planned maintenance systems
• Carry out routine checks, lubrication and scheduled maintenance
• Ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve issues

Ideal Candidate:

• Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer, qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background
• Experience working within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and drives
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental standards
