Engineering Technician 6 Month FTCLocation: DeesideIR35: InsideHourly Rate: £23.28 Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Engineering Technician on behalf of one of our clients. To include the repair and overhaul of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment in a timely and efficient manner whilst complying with legislative and organisational standards. The role will cover the following areas: Avionics systems, communications systems, navigation systems, cable and test box manufacture. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform self-directed test, diagnostics, repair, maintenance, modification, calibration and manufacture of equipment down to module / individual component level using approved engineering documentation and techniques.Hold self-certification, over-signing, certifying and conditioning of equipment responsibilities (e.g. serviceable / unserviceable / scrap).Supervision, training and over-signing of junior / equivalent grade staff and apprentices.Carry out feasibility and development activity, including the reverse engineering and creation of supporting engineering documentation / test procedures.Use a combination of different IT software.Provide specialist advice as required.Work within a scheme of engineering governance.
