Job Title: Engine Stripper / Strip Operatives.
Day shift: Monday to Friday: 7:00am- 4pm and 7am to 1pm on Friday.
Temp to perm
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Barton Under Needwood

Job Overview

We are currently seeking an Engine Stripper to join our Engine Strip & Transmission team at our Barton Under Needwood site. The role involves dismantling and reassembling engines in line with manufacturer standards and warranty requirements. The ideal candidate will have mechanical experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Dismantle mechanical components of engines in accordance with instructions
* Collect new parts and distribute them to the correct engines or machinery
* Jet wash engines after final checks prior to dispatch
* Carry out any other reasonable duties as instructed by the manager in support of company

* Work in accordance with all 5S activities
* Report any near misses
* Ensure waste is disposed of correctly
* Mentor trainees or apprentices where applicable
* Report any issues or problems to the line manager
* Comply with all company and statutory Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Personnel policies and procedures
* Take on additional responsibilities within the employee''s skills and abilities

Requirements

* NVQ Level 3 in Motor Repairs or equivalent - preferred.
* Experience within the rail or automotive industry
* Mechanical experience
* Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment
* Strong teamwork skills
* Flexible approach to work and responsibilities
* Willingness to learn and adapt to changing deadlines and short lead times

* Successful and timely completion of tasks with zero faults
