Engagement Team Leader
Resident Engagement Team Leader required for an initial contract until the end of March 2027, to lead on developing and delivering resident engagement, managing a small team of 3. Working 37 hours a week, Monday - Friday, the salary will be -40,777.
Candidates applying for this role must have extremely confident communication skills, and a passion to drive and deliver engagement with residents. Social housing knowledge is beneficial, however engagement, conflict resolution and the genuine ability to turn a negative situation into a positive, finding alternatives for residents is far more valuable.
Duties:
- Lead Stop Social Housing Stigma Campaign
- Develop and report resident engagement outcomes
- Organise a large annual event, gathering resident feedback to drive service improvements
- Develop meaningful performance metrics reported by residents to monitor and guide service improvements
- Conduct data analysis based on resident feedback, identifying trends and opportunities to enhance and inform decisions
- Oversee resident engagement events and activities to include the planning and delivery of engagement events and activities across housing stock, including general needs, sheltered, and temporary accommodations
- Develop and implement strategies to engage underrepresented resident groups
- Line-manage Resident Engagement Officers and Assistants
- Provide residents with transparent information on organisation performance, empowering them to challenge, scrutinise, and influence service improvements in line with the Consumer Standards
- Coordinate with the communications team to promote resident engagement activities through social media and other channels, ensuring effective outreach and participation

Experience required:
- Able to use lifts, climb up to 15 floors of stairs, and not afraid of heights
- Experience supervising, developing and motivating a team
- Experience setting and monitoring performance targets
- Experience delivering employee training
- Self-motivated, pro-active, empathetic, resilient, creative
- Ability to organise a busy and varied workload, remain calm under pressure, and proactive in approach to tasks
Desirable experience:
- Experience delivering resident training
- Comprehensive understanding and experience of local authority, social housing resident engagement services
- Experience working in social housing resident engagement services
- An understanding of national resident empowerment and engagement and housing policy and practice
