Enforcement OfficerSouth London Local Authority£160 £180 per day DOE We re recruiting for an experienced Enforcement Officer to join a busy Public Protection and Regulatory Services team within a South London local authority.This is a frontline operational role focused on tackling anti-social behaviour, environmental crime and public nuisance issues across the borough.Key responsibilities include:Investigating ASB, environmental crime and public nuisance complaintsResponding to incidents and carrying out enforcement activityGathering evidence and preparing case filesIssuing warnings, notices and enforcement actions where appropriateWorking closely with residents, councillors, police and partner agenciesManaging reactive and proactive enforcement operations Areas of enforcement include:Anti-Social BehaviourFly-tipping, littering and environmental crimeNoise nuisance and out-of-hours responseUnlicensed street tradingHighways and waste enforcementPublic nuisance investigations We re looking for candidates with:Experience within enforcement, regulatory services, community safety or policingExperience investigating ASB, environmental crime or public nuisance mattersKnowledge of relevant enforcement legislation and procedures, including the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014Strong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and manage a varied caseload Desirable experience:Previous police or law ..... full job details .....
