KPMG''s Employment Solutions practice is a growth area of the Tax business and provides the opportunity to develop relationships with clients across various sectors and sizes, delivering advice in areas such as governance (including all aspects of PAYE, payroll, NMW, holiday pay, CIS compliance), employment status including IR35/off payroll workers, reward, and benefit planning.
An opportunity exists for a Senior Manager in our Newcastle team. The team is inclusive, supportive, and friendly, encouraging fresh ideas and innovation. We have experienced consistent high growth over several years and are looking for capable, proactive individuals to join us.
The Role
The key aspects of the role include:
Managing work in relation to a wide variety of employment solutions advisory projects, from larger strategic projects to risk and opportunity reviews.Managing employer compliance activities related to employment status decisions, PAYE health checks, SAO certification, HMRC''s "Know Your Customer" reviews, voluntary disclosures, PAYE Settlement Agreements, payroll advisory projects, and compliance with NMW and CIS.Leading and supporting our Employer Solutions technology offerings, including implementation and follow-up support.Taking responsibility for winning, managing, and delivering work to a high standard within deadlines.Proactively managing engagement aspects such as work in progress, billing, risk procedures, and considering financial and commercial implications.Reviewing work and coaching and developing junior colleagues.Managing and developing client relationships through business development activities.Leading local marketing initiatives.It is understood that applicants may need support in some areas depending on their background and previous experience.The IndividualThe candidate will have practical experience in the areas outlined above, with a strong background in Employment Tax.Ideally (but not essential) CTA, ACA, CPA, or CA qualified.Provides compelling and well-thought-out solutions to complex problems.Uses sound technical and commercial judgment when facing challenging decisions.Demonstrates perseverance and tenacity.Identifies and pursues business opportunities.Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work and guides others on best practices.Maintains high motivation, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude under pressure.Continuously learns from experiences; seeks feedback and development opportunities.Gives clear, positive, and constructive feedback; coaches less experienced colleagues.Works cooperatively and respectfully with colleagues, clients, and the community.Communicates effectively, openly, honestly, consistently, and clearly.Builds the reputation of KPMG through quality work, knowledge, and experience.Upholds high service and product quality to clients (internal and ..... full job details .....
