There is a vacancy for an Employment Tax Manager to work in our Thames Valley office tax team. This is a full-time permanent role with flexible working and progression opportunities. You will work closely with local tax partners and the national team to deliver a range of employment tax work for a diverse client base, including owner-managed companies, quoted groups, charities and local/national organisations. You will handle compliance, ad hoc advisory work and business development initiatives, contributing to generating new work.You should be qualified ACA/CTA (or equivalent) with extensive practical tax experience. You will be expected to use your own initiative and work as part of a team, liaising with other tax specialists, audit and corporate finance colleagues.Your responsibilities

Direct client responsibilities: identify opportunities to offer additional services (e.g., corporate taxes, VAT, personal taxes, corporate finance support); act with integrity and in the firm’s best interests; understand client risks including reputational, operational and credit risks; deliver work with urgency and high quality; identify process improvements for clients; take primary responsibility for financial performance on client and project work.Your people responsibilities: demonstrate commitment to team success, treat colleagues with fairness and respect, provide and receive constructive feedback, develop skills, coach and train colleagues, participate in firm-wide activities.Role requirements

ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification.Significant employment tax experience across compliance and advisory projects.A passion for client service and ideally a track record of developing new work.Technical skills

Ability to generate and deliver general employment tax consultancy advice (employer compliance reviews, internal audit or health checks, status of workers, due diligence, P11D reporting, expenses and benefit tax treatment, remuneration planning, construction industry scheme).Assisting clients with preparation of statutory forms including P11Ds and share scheme reporting.Qualities
