About the Role
An Employment Solicitor is required in Birmingham to handle a varied caseload for a reputable firm. This full-time role, offering a salary between £75,000 and £105,000 depending on experience, is suited to a lawyer with at least five years' PQE. The position involves managing your own caseload, from day-to-day advisory work to Employment Tribunal litigation. You will provide pragmatic, commercial advice to employer clients on matters including TUPE, reorganisations, contracts, and workplace policies. This role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to handle senior executive exits. You will take ownership of Tribunal claims from initial instructions through to drafting pleadings.
Employment Solicitor, 5 Years' PQE, Birmingham, £75,000 (DOE) – This is an excellent opportunity for a talented lawyer with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience to take ownership of high-quality work, advise a diverse client base, and play a key role in the continued growth of our Employment practice. THE ROLE:
• Manage your own caseload, handling everything from day-to-day advisory work to Employment Tribunal litigation.
• Provide pragmatic, commercial advice to employer clients on a wide range of employment matters, including TUPE, reorganisations, contracts of employment, workplace policies, disciplinary and grievance issues, and senior executive exits.
• Take ownership of Employment Tribunal claims from initial instructions through to drafting pleadings, case management and advocacy where appropriate.
• Mentor and support junior lawyers, sharing knowledge and helping to develop the team's talent.
• Build and strengthen client relationships while contributing to networking, marketing initiatives and business development activities.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Applications are sought from Employment Solicitors with a minimum of 5 Years PQE
• A strong track record of advising employer clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• Experience managing Employment Tribunal claims from start to finish.
• Sound knowledge of TUPE and employment issues arising from mergers and acquisitions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability with the confidence to provide clear, commercially focused advice.
