An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Employment Solicitor at 1–2 years' PQE to join the employment team of a highly regarded regional law firm.
This is an ideal opportunity for a junior Employment Solicitor looking to build on their experience within a supportive and collaborative team, working alongside experienced employment lawyers and gaining exposure to a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
The successful candidate will be commercially aware, client-focused and keen to develop into a confident and well-rounded employment lawyer.
The Role
You will work on a varied employment caseload, advising both businesses and individuals across a range of employment matters, including:
Settlement agreements
Disciplinary and grievance matters
Employment Tribunal claims
Day-to-day HR and employment advice
Employment issues arising from corporate transactions
Supporting other departments with employment-related matters
You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients from an early stage in your career, developing your ability to provide clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice.
The role also offers excellent exposure to colleagues across the wider firm, providing the opportunity to build strong internal relationships and develop a broader understanding of the firm's client base.
The Candidate
The firm is looking for an Employment Solicitor with 1–2 years' PQE who is keen to develop their career within a quality regional practice.
You will ideally have:
Good experience across a range of employment matters
A sound understanding of employment law and procedure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
A commercially minded and pragmatic approach
The confidence to build relationships with clients
A genuine desire to learn and develop
A collaborative and supportive approach to working as part of a team
Personality will be important. The successful candidate will be someone who is approachable, positive and professional, with a genuine commitment to delivering an excellent service to clients.
