THE ROLE:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a growing and well established law firm in Leeds. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will play a key role in the continued development of the Employment department whilst managing a broad and varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. You will advise both employers and employees on issues including unfair dismissal, discrimination, settlement agreements, employment tribunal proceedings, redundancy, contracts of employment, HR support and workplace policies. You will have responsibility for matters from instruction through to completion, supported by a dedicated Paralegal or trainee and modern case management systems. This is an excellent opportunity to take on genuine responsibility while helping to strengthen and grow an expanding department and develop relationships with local businesses and HR professionals.
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are sought from Employment Solicitors with a minimum of 5 years' PQE or equivalent experience managing a broad employment law caseload. You will be confident advising both employer and employee clients and running matters independently from instruction through to conclusion. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge, strong client care and communication skills, together with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively. Experience using case management systems would be advantageous. You will also be keen to support the development of junior colleagues, build relationships with local businesses and HR companies, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the department.
