Employee Relations Adviser
Anderson Knight is proud to be partnering with a well-established Glasgow-based organisation to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Adviser.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ER specialist who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys managing a varied and complex caseload. You''ll play a key role in supporting managers across the business, providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice on a wide range of employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policy.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the HR team, you''ll be the go-to expert for employee relations support, working closely with managers to navigate challenging people issues and drive fair, consistent outcomes.
This role would suit someone who is confident handling sensitive matters, enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, and can effectively manage a busy and demanding workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume and varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, conduct and performance matters.
- Provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice to managers across the business.
- Support and lead investigations, hearings and appeals where required.
- Ensure all ER activity is managed in line with employment legislation, company policies and best practice.
- Produce accurate documentation, case reports and recommendations.
- Identify emerging trends and risks, implementing proactive solutions to support the wider business.
- Partner with HR colleagues and business leaders to deliver a consistent and positive employee experience.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in HR processes, policies and ways of working.
About You
We''re keen to speak with HR professionals who have:
- Strong experience in an Employee Relations-focused role.
- A proven track record of managing complex ER cases from start to finish.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience influencing and coaching managers at all levels.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to remain calm and effective when working under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous, but is not essential.
