Supply Desk are seeking an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant for a primary school in the Southampton

Starting from ASAP on a long-term contract

Paid - andpound;80-andpound;90 per day

Hours: Part time (pm only)

Supply Desk are proud to be supporting a large inner-city school in Southampton to find a part time ELSA. This vacancy is for afternoons only but there is the option to be a TA for the morning.

Responsibilities:

• To support childrenandrsquo;s emotional development and understanding through literacy and interventions
• Work with children in a 1:1 capacity or small group work to tackle anxiety and or social skills
• Have up to date training on latest ELSA interventions (bucket time, lego therapy, zones of regulation etc)
• Create caring relationships with students and give space for reflection

Job Description:

• Experience of working as an ELSA
• Fully qualified ELSA certified
• Desire to work throughout Key stage 1 and 2 (4-11 year olds)
• Working 1:1 with children who need emotional support
• Familiar with 2:1 work such as bucket time and Lego therapy.
• Location: Close to central Southampton
• Start Date: April 2025
• Contract Length:andnbsp;Long Term andndash;andnbsp;Potential to become permanent
• Hours:andnbsp;Part time andndash; afternoons only
