Are you available to start from September?Remedy are currently looking for a qualified ELSA to support in a mainstream school with a child on an EHCP. The role will be full time during term time and will be for the remainder of this academic year in the first instance. The school are open to offering a permanent role for a fixed term contract for the right candidate.An Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) is a specialist teaching assistant who supports children''s social and emotional well-being, usually under the guidance of an Educational Psychologist. They plan and deliver tailored one-to-one or small-group interventions addressing issues such as anxiety, bereavement, anger management, and friendship skills.Key Responsibilities and DutiesIntervention Delivery: Plan and deliver evidence-based, personalised sessions (one-to-one or small groups) focused on emotional regulation and social skills.Assessment and Monitoring: Set SMART targets, monitor pupil progress, and maintain accurate, confidential records of all interventions.Liaison and Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to review progress and ensure consistent support.Pastoral Support: Build trusting relationships and act as a supportive mentor for pupils facing behavioural or emotional challenges.Supervision: Participate in regular supervision sessions with an Educational ..... full job details .....
