EMC Proving Engineer

The Opportunity A leading engineering organisation within the defence sector is seeking a hands-on EMC to support the validation and certification of advanced systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, high-integrity products, ensuring they perform reliably in challenging electromagnetic environments. You ll play a key role across the full test lifecycle from early-stage development through to qualification and certification. What You ll Be Doing Plan, design and execute system-level test activities Develop test setups, including instrumentation and data capture methods Prepare and support trials, ensuring readiness across hardware, software and facilities Coordinate test activities, including logistics and equipment availability Carry out hands-on testing in specialist environments (e.g. EMC chambers) Capture, analyse and interpret test data Produce clear technical reports and documentation Support product certification activities Collaborate with engineering teams and test facilities What We re Looking For Experience in EMC, RF testing or electronic systems validation A hands-on approach with a passion for practical engineering and testing Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to plan, execute and document technical work methodically Confident communicator, able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders Desirable Experience Familiarity with EMC or military standards (e.g. MIL-STD, Def-Stan) Background in electronics, ..... full job details .....
