Embedded Software Engineer - Verification and Validation

Our client, a leading company in the defence and security sector, is seeking an Embedded Software Verification and Validation Engineer to join their Real-Time Embedded software department. This is a permanent position that offers a fantastic opportunity to work on some of the world''s most sophisticated defence systems.Key Responsibilities:Taking requirements and developing them into robust test casesPreparing and executing tests, capturing data, and delivering actionable feedbackWorking closely with project teams to ensure system components meet stringent verification and validation standardsDelivering verification and validation activities in an embedded software environmentEngaging in practical problem-solving and data acquisition tasksUtilising scripting abilities to enhance testing proceduresJob Requirements:Strong experience in Verification and Validation (VandV) activities for embedded softwareEmbedded software development experience using AdaProficiency in converting requirements into structured test cases and proceduresExperience working in a lab environment on electromechanical products running embedded softwareGood working knowledge of the complete software engineering lifecycleDesirable Skills:Experience with safety-critical systemsKnowledge of standards like DefStan 00-55, DO-178C and DO-330Understanding of Real Time Operating SystemsModel Driven Design experienceKnowledge of test automation methodsExperience with tools like DOORS, Engineering Workflow ..... full job details .....
