      <description>Location: Peterborough | Salary: 60000.00-60000.00 Annual | Type: Permanent | Embedded Software Engineer Write the embedded C behind smart metering devices shipping over a million units, with a genuine path towards leading the firmware team. This is an Embedded Software Engineer role with an established manufacturer, developing firmware for high-volume metering products. As an Embedded Software Engineer you will design, develop and test the embedded firmware at the heart of an established manufacturer''s smart metering products. Working entirely in embedded C on Microchip tools, you will take on new product development, significant redesign work and modular improvements across a product range that ships well over a million units and sees new products every 12 to 18 months. With metering specifications, device language and increasingly cyber security directives all in scope, it is technically meaty work with real ownership.
