Embedded Software Engineer

Our client, a renowned LED lighting manufacturer in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their dynamic design team. This permanent role involves designing, engineering, and manufacturing innovative lighting solutions for aerospace, maritime, and the contract market. As part of an in-house design team, you will be crucial in producing high-quality products from concept to completion that enhance settings functionally and visually.Key Responsibilities:Designing and customising new and existing productsFirmware design for datalogging and measurement controlCANBus (CAN/CANFD) / PWM control design for aerospace lightsElectronic design as requiredEnsuring the successful integration of firmware design elements with the product as a wholeProducing and checking product documentationFollowing and contributing to the development of best practice guidelines and AS9100Working collaboratively with the design team, guiding, mentoring, and advising others when requiredKey languages: C++ and CJob Requirements:Design/Engineering degreeIndustry experience in hazardous area systems, automotive, aerospace, or medical industriesAbility to manage workload and meet deadlinesExcellent attention to detailExperience with report collation and writingExperience working within a manufacturing companyRequired Experience in Firmware Design:Firmware for functional safety-related/SIL level systemsUsing either STM32 or Microchip microcontrollersDeveloping embedded GUI ..... full job details .....
