      <description>Location: Dublin | Salary: &amp;pound;51794 - &amp;pound;77691/annum | Type: Permanent | Embedded Software Engineer | Dublin | Permanent   Our client, an innovative, venture-backed medical device company, is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to develop firmware for a next-generation, low-power wireless medical device.   Responsibilities    Design, develop and test embedded C firmware on ARM microcontrollers.  Develop low-level drivers and peripheral interfaces.  Optimise firmware for low power consumption and memory usage.  Support board bring-up and hardware/software integration.  Debug and optimise embedded systems.  Contribute to firmware design and code reviews.  Produce technical documentation in a regulated environment.    Requirements    3+ years'' embedded software engineering experience.  Strong embedded C programming skills, with working knowledge of C++.  Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers.  Experience with RTOS (Zephyr, FreeRTOS or similar) and/or bare-metal development.  Good knowledge of SPI, I2C, UART and other communication interfaces.  Hands-on debugging experience using JTAG, oscilloscopes and logic analysers.    Nice to Have    Medical device experience (IEC 62304, ISO 13485) or another regulated industry such as automotive.
