Embedded Software Engineer - 3490-1

Our client, a leading player in the Defence and Security and Aerospace sectors, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their Embedded Software team on an initial 6-month contract. Based onsite in Stevenage, this role provides a unique opportunity to develop both technical and leadership skills across a variety of cutting-edge missile and defence solutions.Key Responsibilities:Developing embedded, real-time software componentsContinuing the development and integration of missile subsystem software productsTargeting software development in C, C++, and/or Ada languagesIntegrating software with other software components, firmware, and hardwareSolving technical problems that sometimes extend beyond the typical software boundariesEnsuring the software complies with relevant standards and practicesJob Requirements:Experience in the development of embedded software using C, C++ (Ada experience beneficial)Understanding of Real-Time Operating SystemsExcellent analytical and design skills, with the ability to perform review and critical analysisEffective communication abilities with multiple stakeholdersFamiliarity with developing and deploying software on real-time Operating Systems, Risc-V, and ARM-based platformsKnowledge of modern software development practicesDesirable knowledge of standards such as DefStan 00-55 and DO178B/C and restricted coding standards like MISRA / SPARKA proactive and flexible approach to problem-solvingOverview of Department:Our client''s Embedded ..... full job details .....
