Embedded Firmware Engineer Salary: £45,000 £55,000 Fully On-site Worcester The Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join an established engineering and manufacturing business developing, building and maintaining electronic products. This role would suit an engineer with a couple years of industry experience who enjoys practical engineering, working close to hardware and seeing their firmware brought to life in real products. You''ll contribute to firmware development while gaining exposure to electronics design, testing and product development within a hands-on engineering team. The business is open to engineers with different levels of experience and is looking for someone with a solid technical foundation, a practical approach and the ability to make an impact. What You''ll Be Doing Developing and maintaining embedded firmware using C. Working with microcontrollers, ideally PIC and/or ESP32 platforms. Supporting firmware development for connected devices, telemetry and low-power applications. Working alongside engineers on electronic hardware and PCB-related development. Testing, debugging and troubleshooting firmware and electronic systems. Supporting RF testing, radio communications and product compliance activities where required.
