Electronics Technician
Job title: Electronics Technician
Salary: -26,000 - -30,000 + 20% shift uplift (-31,200 - -36,000)
Location: Dover
Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating between early and late shifts, with an early finish on Fridays
Key responsibilities would be:
- Test PCB assemblies in line with established test procedures and specifications.
- Carry out the testing, inspection, repair and rework of PCB assemblies.
- Identify and diagnose faults at both component and board level.
- Carry out component replacement, soldering and desoldering.
- Repair minor PCB tracks and soldered connections.
- Use Computer Aided Repair systems to accurately record and log faults.
- Use a range of test and diagnostic equipment, including multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Read and interpret circuit schematics, PCB layouts and technical drawings.
- Investigate root causes of faults and support the implementation of corrective actions.
Experience and skills required:
- Previous experience working within an electronics manufacturing
- Previous experience with soldering and PCB rework is desirable
- Good understanding of basic electronics principles and an interest in electronics
- Good computer literacy and the ability to accurately record technical information
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
- A methodical approach to fault finding and problem solving
