We are seeking an Electronics Team Leader to take on a key role within the engineering department. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will guide and support a small group of electrical and electronic design engineers, ensuring high-quality project delivery, smooth cross-team collaboration, and consistent engineering standards.

This role blends hands-on electronic design work with leadership responsibilities. You''ll work closely with your team on the design and development of bespoke electronic systems, from initial concept through to manufacture, combining off-the-shelf components with custom-built solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and mentor a small team of electronics engineers
• Take ownership of project tasks and ensure delivery against timescales and budgets
• Contribute directly to design activities, including schematics, PCB layouts, and documentation
• Perform testing, fault finding, and validation of electronic systems
• Work alongside manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and production-ready
• Encourage best practices and continuous improvement within the team

Key Requirements

• Previous experience leading or mentoring engineers in a design environment
• Strong technical expertise in analogue and digital PCB design (Altium experience preferred)
• Skilled in schematic creation, testing, and fault finding of electronic systems
• Experience developing designs with manufacturing requirements in mind
• Organised, communicative, and proactive, with a problem-solving mindset
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and to specification
