Electronics Prototype Technician

Location: Cambridge (CB10)Duration: Permanent Hours: 9am - 5.30pm, Monday - FridaySalary: up to -43000 depending on experienceJob Reference: 36103Polytec is seeking an Electronics Prototype Technician to join our client based near Saffron Walden. This is a hands-on role focused on RF and general PCB prototyping, surface-mount assembly, wiring and electronics fault-finding within a busy RandD environment. UK Security Clearance will be required for this role therefore applicants requiring visas will unfortunately not be eligible.Responsibilities- Electronics assembly to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards- Hand soldering of fine-pitch SMD components (including 0603 and 0402)- PCB modification, rework and prototype build from schematics and drawings- Detailed wiring and general electronics assembly- Accurate recording and maintenance of build and test documentation- Supporting day-to-day operation of an RandD laboratoryRequirements- Minimum 3 years'' experience in an electronics lab or assembly environment- Proven ability to work independently on complex prototype builds- Experience collaborating closely with engineers as part of project teams- Good IT skills for documentation and record-keeping- Mechanical assembly experience is advantageous- Flexible, proactive approach with a willingness to learn new skillsPlease contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below!
