Electronics Inspector

Location: Near Milton Keynes, England
Contract Length: 3 Months+
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Flexible working options available, including a 4-day working week

Experienced Electronics Inspector with a strong background in quality assurance, product verification, and inspection of electronic assemblies within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Skilled in ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, IPC standards, and customer requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Electronics Inspector Key Responsibilities

  • Performed duties as an Electronics Inspector conducting visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of electronic assemblies and PCBAs.
  • As an Electronics Inspector, verified products against engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Utilised measuring and test equipment to support Electronics Inspector activities and ensure product conformity.
  • Completed first article, in-process, and final inspections in the role of Electronics Inspector.
  • Identified and documented non-conformances while carrying out Electronics Inspector responsibilities.
  • Worked closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve issues identified through Electronics Inspector activities.
  • Maintained accurate inspection documentation and traceability records as part of the Electronics Inspector function.
  • Supported corrective action and continuous improvement programmes through detailed Electronics Inspector reporting.

Electronics Inspector Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electronics Inspector within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of electronic assemblies, PCBAs, wiring harnesses, and electro-mechanical products.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and quality inspection practices.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience performing first article, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Familiarity with non-conformance reporting and corrective action processes.
  • Competence in using microscopes, verniers, gauges, multimeters, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Understanding of AS9100 and quality management systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
